Affiliations
Initially created in 2013 to help the European scientific and clinical community to better understand the patient experience throughout the healing journey, the European Coalition for People Living with Obesity (EASO ECPO) has established itself as a voice strong for the interests of patients and is now ready to develop an advocacy posture for the concerns and perspectives of patients across Europe.
The national representatives of EASO ECPO serve to elevate and promote the needs and interests of our European patient community to a wider range of stakeholders and communities. ECPO includes patient representatives from 20 countries and acts as a united European voice for patients living with obesity.
The Governing Board develops patient-led position statements, encourages advocacy, networking between and among patients, scientific groups and healthcare professionals, provides patient education and professional refresher training through workshops and courses, develops practical online educational materials and advocates for the European Obesity Day.
